Narcotic
An addictive drug, such as opium, that reduces pain, alters mood and behavior, and usually induces sleep or stupor. Natural and synthetic narcotics are used in medicine to control pain.
Drug effects depend heavily on the dose, route of administration, previous exposure to the drug, and the expectation of the user.

1. Fentanyl Citrate
Fentanyl Citrate Injection, USP is a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution of Fentanyl citrate in water for injection. Fentanyl Citrate is a potent narcotic analgesic which is administered only by the intravenous or intramuscular routes of injection.

2. Pethidine Hydrochloride
Pethidine hydrochloride is a powerful drug used to relieve severe or constant pain which cannot be controlled by any other pain relievers.It can also be used before painful operations or during childbirth to reduce the pain. Pethidine acts on specific opioid receptors in the brain, blocking the delivery of pain messages. In doing so, pethidine decreases the brains awareness of the pain, thus providing pain relief.

3. Morphine Sulphate
Morphine is a narcotic pain management agent indicated for the relief of pain in patients who require opioid analgesics for more than a few days. Morphine appears to increase the patients tolerance for pain and to decrease discomfort, although the presence of the pain itself may still be recognized.
